Are there any other #Facebook alternatives, especially the #fediverse options? I'm on #Friendica, but it's a bit barren. Alternatively, what am I missing on Friendica? I haven't joined any groups yet, so which ones should I join?
@Sheila DeBonis You won't miss anything there, because everything in the Fediverse is interconnected. See for yourself and follow your Friendica account with Mastodon.
I use my Friendica to follow people on Mastodon (and even on Bluesky). Friendica is not perfect, but it has some really nice functions, for example that you can follow RSS feeds here.
I have also heard about a project called #Fedibook, but that is still in the early stages, I have heard.
(And when it comes to groups on Friendica, I have not found any that are relevant for me yet)
Why not just import your list of followers, which you can export from your Mastodon account? You’ll see that all your contacts are there and you can carry on communicating as normal – just a bit more conveniently.
